Yesterday
I went to find dear yesterday .

Supposed to celebrate Yuhan's birthday but her lessons end late . Dear's lesson was pushed back till late too . We decided to go out other day (:

Oh ya , i got the old music score which i am looking for . I lost the score years ago . The song I believe , which is a soundtrack of a Korean drama . Yayness ! Thanks Rachael .

Then dear and i went to Northpoint to buy bubbletea before going to his house . Nothing much . At night , I met mummy at a Coffee shop at Yishun before going back home .

Today
Dear came to my house as usual .

We went to watch movie in the evening with my sisters and cousin . We watched Hotel for dogs .

I give a rating of 8.5 out of 10 .

Overall , it's a very heartwarming show . The dogs are really cute !

I am rather surprised by how the people involved in the movie make it possible for so many dogs to cooperate .Even with owners , the dogs may not be very cooperative as some species are very playful .

The only minus point for this show is that the storyline is very predictable . Other than the dogs , the innovative creations used in the movie are really good .

It's very good for family , it's rated PG afterall . It's worth watching (:

After the movie , we went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner . By the time we reached there , the variety of sushi decreasd and there was no more chawanmushi :(

In between , there was a conflict between us , or rather with Colleen . Not that i always wanna call her brainless for not using common sense . It's what she did to gain such titles .

Imagine she walked across a car park entrance near century sqaure . Car was coming out and yet she listened to her headphone and slowly strolled across .

This is way too ridiculous . After my sister scolded her , she still give a hack care attitute .

Yes , it's her life and it's none of our concern since she doesn't even appreciate her own life . What gives us the position to even bother about it ?

Overall , what i can say that this is really retarded .

After dinner , we went back home .

Tuesday
I accompanied mummy to see doctor .

The skin around the ring finger's tip is very itchy and pain . The skin came off too . Uncle told her that it may be some bacteria infection . At worst scenario , she may have to remove her nail .
She was damn scared lahhs , because she got experience the pain before .

But seriously , this is all thanks to the manicurist who filed the nails for her . She told mummy that it's the only way to remove gel nails . This is not true lohhs .

Gel nails can be removed by nail filing , soak in pure acetone solution or cut it once the nails grow longer . It's not necessary to pay extra money to remove by filing .

After seeing doctor , she was just given an antibiotic and a cream to apply . Nothing much . But this indeed scare her to death .

We went to fetch my sisters , buy groceries , wait for dear and went home straight .

Yesterday
I met Terence at white sands before going to SP for the prepmaths briefing .

We kind of regret that we didn't go for breakfast and waste time before going in . The man who gave the lecture really talk like Mr Ong sia . Can't stand such people who brag about the school and talk non-stop before going into the main topic .

After the talk , we went to CLS building's foodcourt to grab a bite . I didn't eat much since i got to meet dear afterwards . I find that our building is the nicest (:

Then , i met dear at town before meeting mummy for lunch . There weren't many people in town .

We walked around the place to shop around before going to Funan IT mall to buy my laptop .

I didn't know that Funan IT mall sell almost all brands of IT related things . It's indeed better than Sim Lim Square .

We walked around the place and asked around . They either don't have the colour or out of stock . I saw one Toshiba laptop and the pink colour is very nice too . Baby pink , and it looks nicer than Sony Vaio CS .

However , it's more expensive because the specs is better than Asus F8vr . So i didn't buy that .

Finally , we found one shop which has it and there was only one left . We are lucky ! Good thing is they are still having the IT show promotion , so i will be getting the freebies too .

Kind of disappointed for the laptop bag though . I thought that if my laptop is pink , my bag will be pink colour too . It's black colour .

Guess i will have to shop for a nice and durable laptop bag when i have the money . hahas .

Overall , i really love my new laptop . I will still be using my old one at home . The new one is for me to bring to school or do my work . I still prefer to use my old one for net surfing .

After buying , we went back home . Dear didn't come to my house for yesterday .

I was very tired , so i fell asleep awhile after i have reached home . Mummy bought dinner for me . Guess what happened when i after i woke up ?


Stupid colleen ate my dinner .
The angriest thing is not that she ate my dinner . It's that she just giggle like an idiot after i found out that . She never apologies at all . Can't she just ask permission ?

Till now , i am still angry . I am that kind of person who is very petty at such things . I always remember what bad things the person do to me and will seek for revenge etc. for 'compensation' .

Today
I didn't do anything much . Just stayed at home using laptop .

I accompanied mummy to sign my sister's result slip . I shall not say much about it . I would say that at least my sisters bother to go to school right now .

Oh ya , i am rather unhappy about an agent .
She sent emails for asking people to apply for the jobs . I emailed her to enquire . She said that she will not be using me for the time being because of the bacardi thing .

In the first place , it wasn't really my fault lahhs . I really don't know how in the hell the DFS misintepreted me for showing attitude to them , which i suspected is the manager from Terminal 1 .

For this , she said that i spoil the agency's reputation and cost her to lose income since 1 girl lesser to work for her .

Fine , it may be partially my fault which cause DFS to send direct letter to the company . Anyway , she already deducted my 2 day pay , which is $160 .

To her , it may not be a big sum . But to me , it's my hard earn money .

To compensate the reputation , i have already lose the money . It's not that money can instantly make the reputation better , but i have really receive my punishment .

I am not complaining about losing money since either way if i stay at the agency or not , it's still the same . Whether i agree or not , she will still cut my pay .

I wanted to change the bad impression and work hard though I am forgiven for the previous job incident . But now i can't even try and work for it .

Haiz , nevermind about that . I just want to rant it out in my blog to feel better .

This year is never seems to be a good year for me as i am losing money:
- have to pay for my own japanese course .
- havaianas flipflop supplier has problem refunding me , which has near 300 bucks with her .
- geo lens must be got trapped in the custom . Though the supplier will be refunding me full amount , but i will have to fork out money for cover some of the sums .
- deducted pay for bacardi job .

That's why i am looking for more jobs , if not i will never recover all the loss . Economy is bad , so i can't everything rely on mum or dad .

I got to admit that the dress isn't very nice . Mummy bought it for me in Taiwan . I only wore it once , which was the photoshoot . hahas . Overall , i like some of those pictures very much (:

Yesterday and today , i don't really do anything much .

It seems like my body is adjusted to 'sleep as much as you can' before the school semester starts .

Hmm , but these few days , i have been thinking of what CCA should i join . Since there is no restriction on how many to join and there are so many clubs , it's really hard to decide .

I have a few in mind , other than fencing since i will definitely join that as i have fence for years . I was thinking about either Cheerleading , Piano Ensemble or track and field .

Cheerleading is something new to me . I always look at people doing that in movies , which i think it's very cool . I know it's about flexibility . But i am interested in this . I prefer dance , but they only want people with dance background so i lose out in that .

Piano Ensemble is something which i enjoy . I have stopped my piano lesson due to financial and exams when i was in secondary 4 . Since i don't have a piano at home , it will be a good place for me to be at .

Track and field is another thing that i like . Although i can never reach a good timing , but i really enjoy running . It's true that as long i join a sports cca , i will get to run but not as much . PK was thinking to join that , so i am still considering .

Yesterday , i went to Xinying's house for slumber party !

Her mummy cooked super duper nice nonya curry chicken and bee hoon . It's so delicious . hehes .

I spent my time talking to xinying and her mummy . It's always very interesting to listen to their stories . hahas . Of course , i have been reading xinying's Japan magazines .

Esssh , the things in the magazines are so nice ....

Anyway , i slept very early . I was really tired . hahas .

This morning , Xinying and i went to whitesands for breakfast . YAYNESS ! McDonald's breakfast !

We ate our delicious meal and waited for dear to arrive . We went back to my house to put my things .

Oh ya , i cut dear's hair because he was lazy to go to visit a barber and block test is coming up on Monday . I should have taken a photo of his hair ~

Then , we went to bugis to shop around . I am very indecisive of what to buy . I wanted to buy some of the things and yet i keep on consider here and there .

We walked around bugis street and bugis junction . Of course , we went to eat strawberry strudels too . Yummy !

One thing i didn't regret was to buy my Ettusais Limited Edition Sweet Marble Cheek Colour ! It's soooo sweet and i love it ! and i got a $5 Fasio Voucher .

After that , we went to Takashimaya to get my things before going to Far east .

I was kind of frustrated that i couldn't find the idea makeup pouch for my things . It's either too small or not nice . Arghhhh , can't blame me for being so fussy .

We ate our dinner at Hans before taking a bus back home . Dear was soooo poor thing . He got to walk to the MRT station and take the train by his own . Sorry love xD

When i reached home , it's like 'WOW' after looking at all the things that i have bought .

Introduction on Mascara:

Mascara is a cosmetic used to darken, lighten or colour lashes, also it can be used to thicken, lengthen and define eyelashes. Mascara comes in three forms: liquid, cake, and cream. It also comes in many formulas, tints, and colours.

The general purpose of mascara is to define, thicken, lengthen, and emphasise lashes. Mascara is available with tube and wand applicators. Ingredients in mascara include water, wax thickeners, film-formers, and preservatives.

Mascara brushes can be straight or curved, to curl eye lashes, with fine or thick bristles. Some mascara wands contain rayon or nylon fibers to lengthen eyelashes .

History of Mascara:

The first mascara product was invented by Eugene Rimmel in the 19th century. The word "rimmel" still means "mascara" in several languages, including Portuguese (rímel), Turkish (rimel), Romanian (rimel), Dutch (rimel), Persian (rimel) etc.

The word mascara derives from the Italian maschera, which means "mask" from Middle Latin masca or Arabic Maskhara or from Old Occitan masco . Modern mascara was created in 1913 by a chemist named T. L. Williams for his sister, Mabel. This early mascara was made from coal dust mixed with Vaseline petroleum jelly. The product was a success with Mabel, and Williams began to sell his new product through the mail. His company Maybelline, a combination of his sister's name and Vaseline, eventually became a leading cosmetics company.

Mascara is used to darken and thicken lashes, and was composed of colorants and carnauba wax. Users wet a brush and rubbed it over the cake, then applied it to the eyes. Mascara is used by women to enhance eyes as well as draw attention to them.

The modern tube and wand applicator was more appealing to the market than the old "cake" mascara. Max Factor was the first to create a mascara with a wand applicator in the product tube, which started the modern mascara products available today.

Composition of Mascara:

Modern mascaras can be divided in two groups: water resistant mascaras (often labeled waterproof) and non-water resistant mascaras.

Water resistant mascaras have a composition based on a volatile solvent (isododecane - an isomer of dodecane), animal-derived waxes (beeswax), vegetal based waxes (carnauba wax, rice bran wax, candelila wax), mineral origin wax (ozokerite, paraffin), pigments (iron oxide, ultramarine) and filmifying polymers. These mascaras do not contain water-sensitive moieties, offering an excellent resistance to tears, sweat or rain. As a result, these mascaras can only be removed with a specific make-up remover, able to dilute the dried mascara film.

Egg whites are often used in colored mascara.

Non water-resistant mascaras are based on water, soft surfactants (like triethanolamine stearate), animal-derived waxes (beeswax), vegetal based waxes (carnauba wax, rice bran wax, candelilla wax), mineral origin waxes (ozokerite, paraffin), pigments (iron oxide, ultramarine), thickening polymers (gum arabic, hydrophobically modified cellulose) and on preservatives. These mascaras can run under the effect of tears, but are easily removed with some soap and water.

Polymers in a water dispersed form (latexes) can bring some level of water resistance to the group of normally non-water resistant mascaras.

Waterproof mascaras are similar to oil-based or solvent-based paints. Non water-resistant mascaras behave like water based paints. For intermediate water sensitivity, mascaras and latex-based paints (acrylates) contain polymer dispersions.

Do note that Mascara can only be used up to 3 months once you have opened it . If you used longer than that duration , it may cause infection to the eyes . The bacterias are the ones which caused it .

Spoil mascara will have a very strong smell . You will know the smell when you use it . If it change , do throw it away .

Reviews: This was the first mascara i have used back when i was Secondary 3 . I was really fascinated by how the mascara was used on BoA's eyelashes , ambassador for Fasio back then . It really seems good when you look at the magazine .

Indeed , it's good enough for volume . However , it dries up fairly fast and it clogs easily . I didn't use it too frequently so i don't really know why it's happening in it .

Bad thing about fasio mascara is that it's REALLY HARD to wash off . Last time , i used the normal makeup remover and i couldn't remove it . It can even stay there for at least 2 days . Even with my Fancl oil base makeup remover , it's a little hard to remove it .

Ever since , i didn't use Fasio mascara anymore .

Reviews: I got this as a sample from my aunt . I must admit that i was never a fan of European/USA cosmetics products . I am more of the Japan cosmetics fan .

I would say that this mascara really surprised me with it's effect . It's quite nice to use and easy to wash off . The mascara makes my lashes look longer than usual .

However , it's very easily to wash off , even by mere rubbing and tears fell off . It smudges a little , but it's acceptable . This mascara don't clog .

MAC SPLASHPROOF LASH

Features: Waterproof, long-wearing, length-defining, lash-thickening, and formulated to last. Won't clump, flake, or blot! Takes the splash! Go swim

Reviews: This mascara is really great . Affordable and good . It's waterproof , so that you don't have to worry about tearing when yawning . It won't smudge or clog , so it's really easy to apply .
This mascara can be remove by oil based makeup remover without any problem . It just that it doesn't really lengthen my lashes . Overall , i like it very much .

MAC PRO LASH

Features: Lengthening, thickening, non-flaking, non-smudging... totally hard-wearing. Sassy and lush.
- Good to layer.
- Apply one coat of Pro Lash for enhanced, defined lashes.
- For more drama, build up the layers.
- To layer: apply, allow to dry, then apply again. Pro Lash works the hardest when applied right from the roots of the lashes to the tips.
- For volume, apply Pro Lash to the top side of the lashes first, and then to the under side.

Reviews: This mascara is really great . It really makes my lashes to look thicker and longer . Like what it claim , non-flaking, non-smudging . However , it does clog a little .

It's not waterproof but tearing will not wash the mascara off . Great right ? This also can be removed easily by oil based makeup remover .


Anna Sui DX FULL

Features: Rose Scent
- Dolly look
- Lengthening effect
- non-smudge .

Price: $41 (but i got it cheaper xD)

Rating: 9/10

Reviews: I really like the scent of the mascara . It doesn't have the strong smell like what mascara have . Anna sui mascara is also recommended by a Makeup artist whom i know .

It really gives a dolly look . My lashes looks long and it doesn't really clog . I totally fall in love with it and has been using for 5 months (i bought it twice) .



Ok that's all for now . I hope the review on mascaras really help some of you about choosing mascara . Those are just my personal experiences .

yesterday
I went to meet dear at interchange and went to Simei ITE for the Inter-JC swimming match .

Hmm , but they didn't invite all JCs with swimming , like ACJC , ACSI and RJC . I think it's because those swimmers from the schools mentioned will owned the competition . hahas .

I was very tired so i didn't really watch all the competition . Instead , i slept till very unglam . LOL . But i just can't help it . IT show really tire me out .

No prizes , since it's just a friendly match . Dear did fairly well though he didn't train for very long .

Oh ya , the institution's food court is very big . The food are really nice . Sometimes we wonder how come an ITE and poly building is much better than YJC's building .

Not that we are comparing about the level of education , but you can really see the differences .

After that , mummy came to fetch dear and I as it was raining heavily . She went to fetch my sisters too . Then , we went to supermarket to by groceries for dinner before going home .

Today
I slept throughout the day . I am really very tired !

I didn't really do anything much . So here am i , blogging and posting up photos .
