It's the start of my long weekend since there's no class on Thursday and Friday. However, I have to perform for Chingay. It means goodbye to my holiday.
The disaster started with my heels. I didn't even know if I have brought it home or I left it at the container back at the F1 pit.
Thank goodness that we were not require to wear all of our costume.
I went out early so that I could go to Bugis to get my magazine and novel. They will keep me away from boredom :)
Anyway, I was early that day and I saw Wan Er. I have been looking forward to see her but I didn't have to chance to meet her. Surprisingly, she can recognise me after so many years .
The rehearsal was damn tiring because we have to go through the thing for 2 times if I wasn't mistaken :/
Yesterday
I was abit late to meet the girls because I have to get the wet wipes from Watson. I hate it because the queue was sooooo long!
Michel, Crystal and Dawn met me at Century Sqaure's ladies toilet so that we can get our makeup done. Ann met us later because she has lessons to attend.
When we were on our way to PA, it was raining quite heavily. We ended up drenched because there's only one umbrella which was really troublesome to shelter everyone.
Anyway, I was kinda of pissed with the people there because they suddenly changed the colour scheme of our eyes. They didn't tell us on the day before and we have to make changes to it.
How troublesome.
Here's the photos taken:
Me, in the 'don't know how many kg' worth of costume.

So now you can see how heavy was our costume. Imagine we walked the whole stretch of F1 pit. We sweat like nobody's business. LOL
After the performance, I went back to home to get ready to watch movie with dear. We watched the Oscar 2010 Nominated movie, Black Swan.

Overall, I will give a rating of 9 out of 10. The missing 1 point goes to the goriness of the movie. The peeling of the skin on the fingers etc. really scare me like hell.
This movie makes people have different views about dance. I wonder what will the real life dancers think about the movie.
Afterall, there were sexual scenes involved. It may give a wrong perception of the dance world.
Today
I met the girls in the afternoon. After all the makeup stuff, we were late to meet the others at PA. So we ended up heading to F1 pit on our own.
It's the last performance of the chingay parade, at least for us. We just want to do it well, complete it and get over with it.
After our performance, we had lots of 'patterns' to remove our clothings, including the tights and the tube.
And that's how we do it:

Looks obsence but who cares . LOL.

Ann, Crystal and I.

We went off to buy something before going to Millenia Walk to catch our bus. While we were at the Singapore Flyer area, we were able to see the beautiful fireworks (:
The clearer shot of the fireworks.
It's beautiful, isn't it ?
By the way, I got a bruise on my forehead. It sucks! All thanks to my head gear :(
My thoughts of the Chingay 2011 experience:
I am glad to be able to participate in this event because I got to know more friends in the process. Love it, though there were a few sucky things too (:
Ok, I have to rest early for tomorrow's ballet class.
終わり。
