TAIWAN - DAY 4

DAY 4
We went to the so called 'LADIES HEAVEN' Wu Fen Pu (五分埔) for shopping! It's an area with many shops around. We haven't even finish half after a few hours.

Note for Travellers: Closest Station are HouShanPi MRT Station (后山埤) AND SongShan Railway Station (松山车站)

We had a drink before walking to the Railway station in order to check the train timing to go to Shifen (十分)

Galaxy Note VS Bubble Tea cup !

We went to check the timing then back to shopping.

To be honest, it's not exactly VERY CHEAP but there are lots of variety and you can bargain with them. Most shops are willing to give further discounts.

Note to Travellers: Bring more cash because most of the shops don't except cards.

Lunch time, we went to this place: 鬍鬚張台北永吉店 (Formosa Chang Taipei Yong-Chi branch)
They are quite famous for their braised meat rice.

After shopping with many bags of clothes, we headed off to the railway station. We spent a few hundreds SGD on those things. LOL.

It's quite hard to see the timing because it's not a straight train to Shifen. We need to change at RuiFang Station. Best is to get help from the train station.

Ticket to Shifen.

Journey to RuiFang was quite long, about 40 minutes. We bought the tickets with seats to realise that there were people sitting on our seats.

Pissed, We stood at the back of the cabin.

When the guy came and took our ticket, I asked him why our seats were taken. Ended up, he said we could have asked the people to get up because they probably got the no-seat tickets.

But the sad thing is what are those people thinking, especially when they are carrying a children or they are the senior citizens? Aren't they supposed to get tickets with seats?

So am I right to say that they want to save money and just hoping people won't ask them to get up, given their situation???

Ultimate disappointment.

We reached Rui Fang station and we gotta wait for half an hour for our next train to come.

Rui Fang Train station.

Internal of the train to Shifen.

On our way to the more country side area.

The surrounding!

Along the street, it's like those shops in the 70s/80s (Estimation, since I'm a 90s kid).

The place is famous to put the sky lantern. Write your wishes on it and let it fly up high to the sky. The higher it flies, the better it is.

They have many colours for you to choose, some have multiple colours too! There are brushes and ink provided for you to write your stuff.

The famous shop which sell the sky lantern (天灯 / 孔明灯)

People writing their wishes.

White side for career.

Red for Love.

Yellow for MONEY!

Flying upwards!

With the fire cracker!

It flew quite high, although we almost lost sight of it due to wind blowing it behind the roofs.

After that, we stayed there till the boss was free to drive us back to our hotel.

Pay around SGD50 for a ride back to hotel. Quite worth it so that we don't need to wait for the next train timing or to worry about no train services.

Bought a mini sky lantern for souvenir.

After putting our things, we went to the nearby shops to have dinner then we took the train to Taipei City Hall to club.

Dinner time!

We thought of the clubs that we could go. We chose Room 18 instead of Lava due to the crowds. Room 18 is opened by celebrities if I remembered correctly.

Inside the club.

The drinks.

The service is really good and the bartender can make nice drinks for us.

But if you ask me, I'll still prefer butter. LOL.

tiring day
