Food Tasting @ Canto Kitchen

Hello people !

It's my first time out with many bloggers for food tasting. Thanks HP for the invite to this event and it's nice to know other bloggers too (:

The venue is at Canto Kitchen - Located at People's Park Complex (Don't go to the wrong building!).

You gotta take the lift up oppsite CK department store to level 5 since escalator won't be able to bring you up there (:

Canto Restaurant is known for it's reasonable and affordable prices for it's extensive menu. The restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes.

Outside Canto Kitchen !

Of course, just by looking at the name of the restaurant, it's Chinese Cuisine or specifically Cantonese food.

We waited for all bloggers to be here, took a photo together and proceeded to the private room which the restaurant prepared for us.

Inside the private room (The deco looks abit like wedding dinner XD)

While waiting for our food to be served, all of us were taking photos of the place and listening to the welcome speech and introduction given by the administrator, Sherbert Lim.

Menu for our dinner (:

With the bloggers.

Sherbert was giving his speech.

Our dinner was the 8 dish Ala carte, excluding dessert. I'm going to let the readers drool by reading this post. Haha.

First dish: Braised Shark's Fins with Fish Maw.

It's really delicious and I really like the things inside.

2nd Dish (My Favourite): Fried Prawns with Orange sauce.

It's quite unique and there are fruits involved. In addition, the taste of the orange is quite strong (and it made me even hungrier).

3rd dish: Chinese Herbal Roasted Duck.

I love the the sauce! The meat is very tender too!

4th dish: Home Made Bean Curd with Conpoy.

I'm a bean curd fan so I'll definitely say it's nice!

When one dish was up, everyone will take out their cameras and phones to take photos of the food.

5th dish: Steamed cod fish with Chef's Sauce. (One of the signature dishes)

I'm very picky about fish due to bones and fishy smell. But this one, there's no fishy smell at all. I love it when  the chilli and garlic enhanced the smell of the whole dish. THUMBS UP!

6th dish: Poached Spinach with whole garlic and 3 eggs.

Love it to the fact that it's soupy (:

7th dish: Spare Ribs with Yam in "Zhen Jiang" Style.

Tender meat, nice sauce with crispy yam on top.

8th dish: Garlic Steamed Crab with Glutinous Rice. (One of the signature dishes)

The portion is just nice after sooooo many dishes and it smells good. Think it will attract more seafood lover since there's crab on top.

Lastly, we have our desserts. There are a few choices for us to pick. Most of them choose mango with pomelo if I wasn't mistaken. I chose Longan with sea coconut.
