SP FLAG DAY 2009

This morning , mummy drove me to white sands . I met Terence there for breakfast before going to paya lebar for flag day .

By the time we reached the venue (8:30am) , there were people standing there to collect money . Since there were so many people , we went to KFC to wait for the crowd .

Terence is INDEED a sweet talker that many people donate to him . I am kind of envy of him , really . hahahs . I didn't get much donation . I donated some coins in to add on weight .

According to our tutor , we can only get 2 CCA points if we get $30 . Seriously , i am not interested for this CCA points as i can get from other fields . It's way too easy to get an A for the overall grade lohhs .

Not that i am not hardworking to get more money ok . Imagine thousands of SP students were spreaded all over Singapore just for this flag day .

Where ever you go , you will meet a SP student for sure .

Secondly , we are having a recession . How in the hell people wants to donate when they can use the money to feed themselves ?

Lastly , after those charity organisations related cases , people no longer dare to donate money . They will be thinking that if those poor , elderly , people with diseases etc. can get ALL the money or not .

So who to blame if we can't reach the target ?

Anyway , we went back to SP for lunch before going to the classroom to open the donation cans . I certainly love the uncle at the pizza hut . He is really very nice to us .

and sadly to annouce , i only got the donation of total $5.25 .

Some others people , their parents donate for them . For mine , mummy doesn't do that because she doesn't trust such donation . She rather give it personally to the needy than to donate to the organisations .

Still , i think that schools shouldn't set a target for students . Charity is come from the heart . What for we do this and pester people to donate just to reach the target and get the 2 pathetic CCA points ?

In fact , i prefer to visit Old folks home etc.

Overall , it's still quite fun . I managed to know more friends . But i hope that we won't turn into enemies someday . I mean like you will never know what will happen . Afterall , we barely know each other .

But good thing is the class population is quite small , so i think should be alright .
