I was late for my Singtel Grid Girl audition.
Anyway, I think I am already got discredit for having braces, let alone my speech .
After that, dear, Ashley and I went to have our breakfast at Ya Kun . It's nice to chat with her since we seldom have any chance to do so, although we are from the same school .
Dear and I went back to Yishun after our breakfast . I took a long nap as I was really tired .
We stayed there till around evening then we rushed off for our Salsa class . For the first time, we were early by 5 minutes . hahas .
The Salsa class was alright and I think I improved quite abit, at least not as bad as the previous lesson.
After class, we rushed to Esplanade. Since the Circle line is no where near us, we took to city hall and walked all the way . We were rushing for a concerto.
Initially, we were late but thank goodness that there were VIPs who were late so they delayed the closing door time .
The concert was the most boring one that I ever watched . Many people were sleeping, especially at the 2nd piece. It's very tedious. Moreover, I have never heard the piece before.
The music piece named Resurrection , it's more like the audiences were DYING . LOL .
If it's not because of our GEMS presentation, we wouldn't watch such a boring concert .
After the concert, dear and I went to McDonald's to have our dinner before going back home.
Yesterday
I went to look for dear at northpoint . Wanted to eat lunch but he ate already . I ended up throwing temper and just ate one onigiri.
Around late afternoon, we went to watch Despicable me with Dear, the kids and his mummy.
Overall, I will give a rating of 9 out of 10 . First of all, it is easy to understand. Next, the show is really creative in terms of the small yellow thing. Lastly, the music is really nice.
The only 1 mark lost is I don't understand why the yellow thing is like a trademark of it but it's not the main part of the show.
After the movie, I rushed to Bedok for Ballet class. Thank goodness that I wasn't very late.
This class marked the first lesson of Beginner 2 . Of course, we learned many new things that somewhat I couldn't catch up. Let me share with you guys.
For this first term, I have learnt the jump long ago just that I didn't know that there's a special name for it. The second term is something we did many times but I just found the name.
Soubresaut - A term of the Russian and French schools; it indicates a sudden spring or jump from both feet, traveling forward in either first third or fifth position and landing on both feet in the same position as they started.
Sous-sus, Sus-sous - Literally over under.
Typically executed from fifth position, a dancer rises up onto the pointes or demi-pointes with the feet touching and ankles crossed in a particularly tight fifth position relevé. This can be performed in place or traveling forward, backward or to the side.
At the barre after the plié exercises is part of the warm up for center pointe work. Sous-sus is a term of the Cecchetti school, while sus-sous is used in the French and Russian schools.
Pas de bourrée - It consists of three quick steps i.e. behind, side, front. It means 'Step of Bourrée', Bourrée being an Auvergne dance.
It is done dessous, dessus, devant, derrière, en avant, en arrière and en tournant, en dedans and en dehors, on the point or demi-pointe.
Sissonne - A jump done from two feet to one foot or in some cases two. Named after the originator of the step.
Petit jeté - Small jeté. From a demi-plié in the fifth position the working foot glides along the floor until it reaches a position à la demi-hauteur.
The supporting foot springs from the floor and the landing is made in fondu on the working leg with the other foot extended in the air or sur le cou-de-pied. Petit jeté is done dessus, dessous, en avant, en arrière and en tournant.

After class, we took a cab to Tampines 1 and had our dinner at Kin Gary Restaurant. They have a 1 for 1 deal after 9:30pm (:

Today
I didn't go to school as there's a 5 hours break between 2 lessons and the OCRM lecture is cancelled.
Nothing much, I spent my day resting at home, blogging and other things.
